The Wonsam was named because of the rounded collar shape. It is the most beautiful and flamboyant of the clothing items among clothing for women of the gentry. It was worn for large
events. This clothing used quality fabric with a cloud pattern embroidering a ‘dragon’ pattern and the character ‘Su(壽)’
meaning longevity with gold thread as clothing for royal family members.
