Excavated Clothing
Excavated Clothing means the clothing that surrounded the deceased in a tomb. Gyeonggi Provincial Museum collected about 1,400 pieces of clothing that had been excavated from tombs and donated. The periods
when this excavated clothing were made is evenly distributed from the 16th century to the 19th century. The excavation areas include Namyangju,Yangpyeong, Anseong, Paju, Pocheon, Gwangmyeong, Yangjuand Bucheon. The excavated clothing provides the most accurate materials from which we can actually identify the clothing culture at the time as ceremonial clothing and everyday wear.
