Dallyeong is a garment of everyday wear (black gauze hat, coat for government officers, high cut shoes, belt) which a government officer assigned to a government position wore while performing official duties or participating in national ceremonies. The Hyungbae
(chest insigna) indicating official rank was attached to Dallyeong, which was a bird pattern for a civil officer and a four-legged animal pattern for a military officer.
